Garden design studio · Chester, Cheshire and North Wales
Private gardens designed in response to land, setting and use.
Jane Houghton Garden Design Studio creates considered private gardens across Chester, Cheshire, North Wales and the Wirral.
A garden should feel as though it belongs — to the house, to the land, and to the way it is lived in.
Jane Houghton Garden Design Studio designs private gardens and landscapes for considered homes, rural properties and architecturally distinctive settings.
Based near Chester and working across Cheshire, North Wales and the Wirral, the studio approaches each garden as part of a wider composition — shaped by the land, the architecture, the planting and the way the space will be used.
As a small studio, we take on a limited number of commissions each year, allowing each project to be developed with clarity, restraint and care.

For clients who understand that a garden is not an addition, but part of the whole
Landscape and garden design across Cheshire and North Wales for considered homes, rural properties and architecturally distinctive settings.
The objective is not simply to add features, but to create a landscape that feels deeply fitting — settled, unified and as though it has always belonged.
Often alongside architect-designed homes, period properties and carefully considered settings.
