Gardens to grow into

A selection of private gardens and landscapes shaped with care, restraint and a close understanding of how outdoor space is lived in.

Chester

Cross House

Behind the new glass extension, the garden gathers itself into a small, intensely planted world. Tree ferns, broad leaves and layered green soften the meeting between old brick and new architecture, while the garden remains visible from deep inside the house.

Cheshire

Belgrave Barn

A pale garden for an old barn: white flowers, softened greens and weathered materials held within a strong, quiet framework. The planting loosens at the edges, allowing the garden to feel settled rather than newly imposed.

Liverpool

Nordic Soul

A small city garden drawn together across changing levels, using quiet materials, soft planting and sheltered places to pause.

Malpas

The Tinkwood

A Georgian manor landscape being stitched back together through terraces, orchard, productive growing and longer views into the surrounding land.

Settling in

A finished garden should never feel newly unwrapped.
